Awaiting His arrival

"Jesus Christ will return, for some it will be a glorious day of rejoicing, and for many others it will be a terrible day of reckoning. Even in what is called the church many will be left behind..."

“and be like men who are waiting for their master to come home from the wedding feast, so that they may open the door to him at once when he comes and knocks." (Luke 12:36)

We must be not only looking for the return of Jesus Christ, but diligently preparing for it. No servant with any sense wants to be found unprepared for his master. When he returns it is too late to start trying.

Jesus Christ will return, for some it will be a glorious day of rejoicing, and for many others it will be a terrible day of reckoning. Even in what is called the church many will be left behind. Those who hear the call , those who are intently looking for Him, and those who are prepared for His return, will be caught up with Him, and thus they will ever be with him. Those who are not looking for Him, nor preparing for Him, will join Satan and his followers in the lake of fire.

We believe He is coming back soon, but we cannot know the year, month, day, or hour. The one thing we can do, is to be prepared and watching. We can be diligent to make our calling and election sure and certain. When He returns, may we be found with the scriptures filling our minds and the Holy Spirit guiding our every step.

May we turn from this world and its ways. May we lift up our heads and watch for Him, knowing our redemption is very close.
