No more excuses

"Jesus is coming back for a church who is desiring Him and following His lead, and it is high time time for the church to awake to true righteousness..."

“And they all with one consent began to make excuse." - Luke 14:15-24 (18a)

Jesus tells the story of a man who makes a special meal for several people, and when it is prepared he calls them to come eat what he prepared for them. It turns out that none of them can come for various reasons. One needs to look at land he has purchased, another needs to test some oxen he just acquired, and the other just got married. They all sounded like reasons, but they were not. All should have known in advance, and at least two could have checked their purchases out after the dinner.

The sad part is this is what is done to God so often. The bible tells us what we are to do, and how it is to be done. It tells us how we are to live each day we are here. It tells us what our purpose is as individuals, as family members, as members of Christ's body, and even as global members on this earth. And yet with all of this, we can come up with excuse after excuse why we can't do what He calls us for. None of our excuses are any better than those who were called to the supper. It is like we don't believe God is omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, and immutable, or we just don't want to do it.

Jesus is coming back for a church who is desiring Him and following His lead, and it is high time time for the church to awake to true righteousness, stop the excuses, and make full use of the time we have left before Christ returns, or we go to meet Him.
